LeBron James had plenty to smile about this weekend, and it had nothing to do with basketball. Before diving into another long NBA season, he and Savannah marked 12 years of marriage.
On Sunday, LeBron kept it simple on Instagram but made sure the world knew how he felt.

“Happy anniversary, my beautiful [queen]! I love you mama!” he wrote, tossing it up on his story.
Their history runs back to high school. He was the kid lighting up gyms at St. Vincent–St. Mary. She was cheering for a rival school across town. Somehow it clicked—they grabbed dinner at Outback Steakhouse for their first date, and the two never really looked back.
By 2004, they had Bronny. Bryce came along three years later, right around the time LeBron dragged the Cavs to the Finals for the first time. He finally popped the question on New Year’s Eve in 2011, and two years after that, the wedding was on. It was loaded with guests—Wade, Bosh, Spoelstra, even team owner Micky Arison. Oh, and Beyoncé and Jay-Z performed “Crazy in Love.” No big deal.
Zhuri, their youngest, arrived in 2014. The boys stuck with hoops, but Zhuri chose volleyball. Either way, LeBron and Savannah are always front and center, full-on sports parents.
“We in the hall baby”: LeBron James soaks up Hall of Fame honor
Just a week earlier, LeBron James was celebrating something different. He got the call to Springfield—sort of. Not for his NBA career just yet, but as part of the 2008 Olympic “Redeem Team.” That squad snapped Team USA’s drought and reestablished their dominance.

LeBron, never shy with a flex, showed off his Hall jacket on Instagram.
“We in the hall baby!!!!! Ayeeeeeeee,” he posted.
It’s only a matter of time before the solo induction comes. The résumé’s too stacked. The scoring record, the rings, the Finals runs—when the curtain finally falls, LeBron’s seat in the Hall is already reserved.
