The Minnesota Timberwolves halted their two-game skid in style, as they blew out the Chicago Bulls with a score of 136-101 on Monday night to improve to a 21-12 record this season.
Before the game, the Minnesota Timberwolves’ quick flight to Chicago was delayed so much that it took them six hours to get to their destination. According to Star Tribune’s Chris Hine, this ordeal apparently irked Anthony Edwards and co., which gave them enough motivation to win on the road.
“We was on the plane about five hours. We took our frustration out on them tonight,” Edwards said about setting the tone for the team. “I try to be that for us, but sometimes, of course, I don’t have it, but that’s where I got to get better. I got to bring the energy every game. Whether it’s me putting the ball in the basket, whether it’s me defending, being early, low man, whatever it is.”
Edwards contributed 23 points, two rebounds, and four assists on 9-for-13 shooting from the field across 32 minutes of action. On the other hand, the Minnesota Timberwolves benefited from Naz Reid’s breakout performance, as he had 33 points (season-high), seven rebounds, three assists, and six three-pointers on 11-for-18 shooting from the field off the bench.

Minnesota Timberwolves News: Naz Reid reflects on their recent two-game losing streak
Before pummeling the Chicago Bulls, the Minnesota Timberwolves suffered back-to-back losses against the Denver Nuggets and Brooklyn Nets, and Naz Reid said that those defeats certainly gave them fuel for yesterday’s contest.
“I can deal with the Denver loss, but they’re a good team. We played hard, they played hard, and the outcome was the outcome. But the last game (against the Brooklyn Nets), we let ourselves down,” Reid stated. “No discredit to the Nets, but we didn’t play to our standards.”
“It was a salty taste to our mouth, but it’s crazy how quick the NBA is. One minute you’re like that, and the next minute you’re (down). Just gotta stay even-keeled, not get too high, not get too low,” he ended.
