NBA fans are reacting to Jonathan Kuminga feeling like a “scapegoat” with the Warriors, according to insider Anthony Slater. Slater wrote in his latest article for ESPN that the baller has been experiencing negative feelings as a result of being benched for several games. While Kuminga is definitely an eager player for the Warriors, it seems like the player feels that he has not been given enough opportunities to showcase his skillsets.
“The Warriors lost five of their next seven. Kuminga’s turnovers spiked, and his performance dipped. Searching for rotation answers, Kerr demoted Kuminga back to a bench role, reopening old wounds. ‘He feels like the scapegoat again.’. For the Warriors to reach their ceiling this season, there’s an internal belief that Kuminga, even in a condensed role, must shake off some of his built-up resentment and get back to the impact wing from the first couple of weeks.” Anthony Slater wrote.

“Kuminga and the Warriors are that toxic married couple that subpost on social media about one another but won’t get divorced.” One fan hilariously said.
“Kerr’s rotations are so dark he’ll bench Kuminga for breathing wrong but keep Dray in the starting lineup like chaos is part of the game plan. (shrugging emoji x2) He should have moved when he had the chance (shrugging emoji)” another fan commented.
“Kuminga being the ‘scapegoat’ is crazy when half that roster been playing like they’re running on 2018 WiFi. Kerr will bench the 21-year-old with actual upside but keep rolling out the retirement-home lineup like that’s the fix. Warriors lose? Blame Kuminga. Shots not falling? Blame Kuminga. Curry sneezes wrong? Yup – Kuminga again. They’re gonna run this kid out of town and then cry when he turns into a star somewhere else.” still another fan said.
NBA Fans Feel Warriors And Kuminga Should Part Ways
Several NBA fans feel that the Warriors and Jonathan Kuminga should simply part ways before things get more sour. Fans are calling out the team for not making good use of Kuminga while they still have him.

“GSW can’t get max value in a Kuminga trade if they bench him. Nothing makes sense in how they handle this situation. It’s best if they just part ways amicably.” One fan stated.

“Just trade him and get ts over with” one more fan remarked.
Other fans continue to call out coach Steve Kerr for failing to make the right decisions in terms of the players. At the same time there have been many who feel that Kuminga is definitely not a great player and deserves to be benched.
