Stephen A. Smith had one of those radio moments where you hear it once, then replay it in your head like a bad turnover. A caller accused him of “stroking” LeBron James, and Stephen A. went from calm to “don’t play with me” mode real quick. The clip made the rounds fast, mostly because NBA Fans love chaos as much as they love a good LeBron debate.

@TheDunkCentral posted the now-viral clip with the caption, “Stephen A. Smith gets pissed at a caller for accusing him of stroking LeBron.” As usual, NBA Fans turned the moment into a courtroom drama. Some called it wild, others called it funny, and a few couldn’t believe the choice of words the caller used on live radio.

One reply that took off came from @rami_lavi, who said, “Kinda homophobic, Steve.” Another from @RealWashedGamer added, “Stephen A has been stroking Bron’s shit clean for 20 years man,” which sent half of NBA Twitter rolling on the floor [laughing emoji description].

The whole thing wasn’t just a case of a host snapping. It showed how fast conversations around LeBron can get heated. Stephen A., defending a superstar he’s covered for two decades, didn’t surprise anyone. What surprised people was how the caller framed it, and how NBA Fans instantly jumped in to judge both sides like it was a finals series.

This moment also reminded everyone how easily the LeBron talk can get twisted. NBA Fans see him discussed every day, and even the smallest comment turns into a storm. Stephen A. stands firm that he’s calling things how he sees them. Some agree. Some don’t. But one thing never changes: NBA Fans will always have something to say, especially when LeBron’s name gets mentioned.

Curry’s 45-Point Nights Spark Fresh Debate Among NBA Fans

Stephen Curry just dropped another big scoring night, and like clockwork, NBA Fans started comparing him to LeBron James again. It all kicked off when @WarriorsMuse posted,

“Stephen Curry (7) has now overtaken LeBron James (6) for MOST 45-point games at age 35 or older.”

One stat, one tweet, and suddenly everyone’s arguing in the replies like it’s a rivalry that never sleeps.

Some NBA Fans jumped straight into defending LeBron.

@29tre said, “Bron doesn’t chuck 16 3s a game,” pointing out the obvious difference in playstyle. Another fan, @thekj_hassett, added that “LeBron is significantly better. Doesn’t shoot 25 times a game either,” which fueled another wave of back-and-forth.

Curry putting up big numbers at 35 is impressive in any era. His game relies on movement, rhythm, and constant pressure from outside. On the other hand, LeBron’s longevity and all-around control of the floor remain unmatched. Both are still producing at a high level deep into their careers, and NBA Fans know that comparing them is part of the fun, even if the debate goes nowhere.

This latest stat didn’t suddenly rewrite any legacy. It simply reminded everyone that Curry is aging well and still has nights where he flips a switch. NBA Fans reacted fast because anything tied to LeBron brings a crowd. Curry dropping 45 at his age is a testament to how he built his craft and how much he still has left.

NBA Fans will argue forever about style, shots, and who has the better career. That’s just the sport. But whether they lean Curry or LeBron, nights like this keep the conversation alive and loud, the way NBA Fans like it.
