NBA fans have been cheering on Bronny James for the recent game against the Trail Blazers, especially with Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves sidelined as a result of injuries. While Doncic has been out for some time, Reaves was declared benched as a result of groin soreness. With the two senior players out, fans hoped that LeBron’s son, Bronny, would lead the team on the scoreboard, especially after his incredible performance in the previous matchup.

However, reality turned out to be quite different, with Bronny only managing five points. The Lakers managed a fantastic win against Portland, but fans were left slightly disappointed in not seeing much of Bronny’s plays on court.

“Luka Doncic (Lower left leg contusion injury management) and Austin Reaves (Right groin soreness) are OUT for tonight’s game against Portland (red light emoji)” Basketball Forever tweeted.

“Bronny For Over 8.5 Pts (partying face emoji)” one fan said.

“Bronny James career night loading….Load up the drac” another fan predicted.

“IT’S A BRONNY MVMFP JAMES NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!” yet another fan went on.

NBA Fans React To Injury Pandemic Across Teams

NBA fans also spoke out on the increased number of injuries across teams in the league after Austin Reaves and Luka Doncic were announced to be out for some time. While the absence of the two players meant that Bronny could take up some more space on the court to do his thing, it also highlighted the load management crisis within the league, which is leading to an increased number of players getting injured.

“Early season injuries have become a pandemic this year.” one fan said.

“Load management is going to be the end of the NBA” one more fan added.

“Load management is and has been destroying the NBA but Adam Silver is spineless and has done nothing, those fans in Portland that brought tickets to see Luka should get a discount or something (man facepalming emoji) or don’t go to games anymore” another fan shared.

The Lakers have been struggling with injuries before the season could even start, especially with LeBron’s sciatica. It is still not confirmed as to when the legend will make it back to the court, with reports hinting that he might play again toward the middle of this month. LeBron’s absence has definitely been a sore point for the Lakers, especially Bronny, who would love to play with his dad again soon.
