NBA fans drew humor from a wholesome moment between Golden State Warriors veteran star Steph Curry and his son Canon, captured on video.

Over at social media platform X, NBA fans showed their humor as they reacted to a viral video that showed father-and-son Steph and Canon Curry in one frame. Steph was doing warm-ups in the background, while Canon was on the courtside, throwing a ball repeatedly.

For a lot of fans, this showed two generations of basketball stars, one being a potential future star like his father. For one fan, however, this showed something funny.

“Some kids inherit height,” the fan said. “This one inherited gravity problems.”

One fan even gave a bold prediction that young Canon would grow up to even surpass his father on court.

“He shoot gonna be better and quicker than Steph watch out,” the fan said.

Following the Warriors’ victory over the Nets, Curry said he would welcome a one-on-one game of HORSE against Los Angeles Lakers standout Luka Doncic, naming the Slovenian guard as his ideal opponent. Curry, long celebrated for his warm-up theatrics and in-game trick shots, raised the possibility in postgame remarks that quickly drew attention from fans and the media.

“I’ve seen Luka do some stuff, so probably me and him,” Curry said. “I don’t have a go-to shot, other than probably just a half-court shot, knowing he’s gotta make it.”

There has also been talk surrounding a possible “HORSE” shooting contest turning into a major event. This could mesh nicely with the All-Star weekend programming as the contest would showcase players showcasing their shot-making ability.

Curry’s comments came during a very busy time during the NBA with many story lines being played out. His comments certainly added to the playful competition that exists between two of the best scorers in the league who both have changed the way we look at shooting from beyond the arc.

NBA Fans Predict Steph Curry Video to Become Classic in The Future

Over at X, NBA fans predicted the recent viral video of Steph and Canon Curry to resurface and take over the internet once more in a matter of decades, when Canon becomes an NBA star, much like how his father has become.

“We gone be seeing this video everywhere again in about 15 years,” one fan said.

For another, the video is a gold mine for future promotions and ads, when young Canon, hopefully, joins the NBA, too.

“This clip is definitely gonna be used in a commercial in the future when Canon makes the league,” they said.

So far, NBA fans had Steph Curry for a total of 17 seasons, including the current 2025 season.
