The New York Knicks booked their tickets to Las Vegas for the first time, following a 117-101 road win over the Toronto Raptors in the NBA Cup quarterfinals on Tuesday night.

Jalen Brunson led the way with 35 points, three rebounds, four assists, and six three-pointers on 13-for-19 shooting. Josh Hart also made a huge contribution on both sides of the floor with 21 points, six rebounds, four assists, two steals, and four three-pointers on 8-for-11 shooting, garnering a shoutout from New York Knicks head coach Mike Brown.
“They keep going in, and people keep leaving him open because they’re trying to put their fives on them,” Brown said of Hart via Phillip Martinez of SNY. “He can shoot a little bit, but he works really hard at it, and so it’s no surprise to us that he’s shooting it as well as he is.”

“I tell you what, he reminds me of Andre Iguodala from the sense that if you don’t really understand basketball, then it’s hard to really appreciate their game,” he continued. “Both those guys, sometimes we look at him, and you might be like, well, he’s not really this, he’s not that, he can’t do this again. It’s the opposite. Josh can do everything.”
New York Knicks News: Karl-Anthony Towns details the team’s morale after last night’s win
Karl-Anthony Towns stated that the New York Knicks are in a buoyant mood following last night’s win. Before beating the Toronto Raptors, the team has advanced past the group stage in all three years of the NBA Cup’s existence, but this will be their first time going to Las Vegas.

“This locker room is ecstatic,” Towns said. “It’s an opportunity to represent our city, represent our team over in Vegas.”
“The Cup brings out a competitive edge in all of us in this league, and we’re just happy we have a chance to go out there and compete against the best of them,” he ended.
