New York Knicks lost their second straight on Friday against a team that was struggling heavily. They fell to the Atlanta Hawks by 12 points after getting tripped by the San Antonio Spurs on the road.

Fans did not want what they saw from the team and Mike Brown understood them.
“It’s just how we played. I was booing myself, inside I was like, ‘Boo Mike, you stink,’ so they have a right to boo me,” the coach said after that game.
“Everybody else, especially if we are playing the way we are playing, starting with how we guard the ball, and not getting back in transition. It’s tough to stomach because you’re not giving yourself a chance.”
Knicks have higher expectation this season with their strong start and the NBA Cup victory. They have declared that they are going for the biggest trophy there is by not putting up a banner for their first ever trophy since 1973.

They did not appear to be the kind of team that can win it all against the Hawks that did not even have their own star Trae Young.
It should be noted though that the Knicks missed Karl-Anthony Towns’ 22 points per game after being ruled out due to an undisclosed illness.
New York Knicks will respond
KAT returned on Saturday against the Philadelphia 76ers but the result was no different. They fell to their visitors as Philly’s Big 3 of Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and Paul George played their best game so far together.
Brown said this is no new situation for him but he is now more focused on how they will fight through this adversity.

Mike Brown as Knicks lose 3rd straight: “We’re in an area we’re not used to…little bit of adversity. I’ve never been part of a team that hasn’t gone thru adversity…Every team’s gonna…It’s about how we respond…how we get out of it…Great opportunity to see what we’re made of” pic.twitter.com/HP8BWvl7OP

Next up for them are the Detroit Pistons and this response, whatever the result may be, will be another huge discussion among fans.
