Russell Westbrook’s Next Team is Somewhere He Is Least Expected; 2017 MVP Receiving Huge Offer for His Services

The league is not giving the props Russell Westbrook deserves as the 2017 NBA MVP is still without a team with around two weeks to go before the opening night. Maybe other leagues can give him the recognition he rightfully should get.

Reports have it that Westbrook is being courted by a team overseas and they are willing to pay him a grand amount. This offer might deter him from accepting an offer from the Sacramento Kings which is the only team being linked to him this summer.

“Last thing for you—and this is kind of Kings-related—it’s a bit of a curveball, but Russ Westbrook is still not signed with a team,” Sactown Sports’ Carmichael Dave wrote while discussing Sacramento’s future moves and upcoming season.

“I heard something from someone I trust enough not to blow off what they said: he may have an offer in China for about half a season—and it’s damn near quadruple what the Kings could offer him.”

Brodie not having an employer at this point of the pre-season is baffling as he had a great year with his last team Denver Nuggets. He accepted his role as a substitute, averaging 13.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 6.1 assists. That was a good year for him considering the stints he had with the Los Angeles Clippers and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Russell Westbrook is being treated unfair

Is there a conspiracy to keep Brodie out of the league? That thought might be far-fetched multiple former NBA stars and players think there’s something wrong about an NBA great going out this way.

Michael Porter Jr. of the Brooklyn Nets slammed the LA teams for the way they handled his stint with them. The nine-time All-Star’s former OKC Thunder teammate Enes Kanter is blaming Lebron James and the Lakers saying they pinned everything on Westbrook for their bad season.

“If you play with someone like LeBron, it’s all about LeBron and if the season fails, then you need some kind of scapegoat. That year, they picked Russ as a scapegoat,” Kanter Freedom said.

“After that, look at his career; this guy unfortunately can’t even find a team right now. It’s crazy. I feel bad.”

Even Milwaukee Bucks legend Oscar Robertson, the Mr. Triple Double before Westbrook became that guy, is baffled by this development.

Oscar Robertson says he doesn’t understand why the league has turned its back on Russell Westbrook

“It’s unfortunate that they’re doing some of these things to him… Why blame him?”
