Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham got blasted by analyst and critic Jason Whitlock, particularly over how she handled her rise to fame, especially after singing with the Fever earlier this year as part of the franchise’s offseason building strategy.

In one of the recent episodes of his program “Fearless,” Jason Whitlock blasted Fever stars Sophie Cunningham and Ciatlin Clark for not being able to handle stardom properly. In particular, he criticized how Cunningham has been putting out photos and videos of herself in a bikini.
“None of these women know how to handle the spotlight,” Whitlock said. “Sophie Cunningham, gorgeous. Put some clothes on, Sophie. Quit putting out videos of you in bikinis every time you turn around. Show a little mid-west class, and I like you, but damn it, put some clothes on from time to time.”

Sophie Cunningham sustained a torn medial collateral ligament in her right knee during one of the Fever’s games against the Connecticut Sun. After a contact with Sun guard Bria Hartley, Cunningham fell to the floor and was seen in visible pain.
She was later carried out of the court and did not return for the rest of the game. Soon after, the Fever confirmed that she has been ruled out of the season due to the injury she sustained.
Sophie Cunningham, Other Injured Fever Players Play “Sick Joke” on New Video
On Friday, the Indiana Fever gathered for a team photo shoot featuring five players sidelined by season-ending injuries, including 29-year-old guard Sophie Cunningham. Cunningham recently underwent surgery to repair a torn MCL in her right knee and joined Aari McDonald, Sydney Colson, Caitlin Clark, and Chloe Bibby in a photo that showed everyone who has suffered season-ending injuries.

The video showed all of them in complete on-court Fever gear, but also with the plaster and bandages and supportive equipment, according to their individual injury. Cunningham reposted the photo and added her own funny caption to it.
“A sick joke,” posted Cunningham.
