Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry returned to the lineup on Tuesday against the Oklahoma City Thunder after missing three straight games. Due to Curry’s illness, the Warriors had a 1-2 record at that time. Against the Thunder, however, the Warriors struggled to keep up with the defending champions, leading to a 126-102 loss.
Curry played 20 minutes in his first game back, finishing with 11 points and one steal on 30.8% shooting. The top guard only made 20% of his shots from beyond the arc and struggled to make an impression. Forward Jonathan Kuminga led the Warriors with his 13 points, three rebounds and four assists.
Even other stars like Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green had difficulty against the Thunder. Butler had 12 points and three steals on 66.7% shooting from deep. Green, on the other hand, posted six points and three rebounds.

The Warriors have a tough schedule ahead. After their contest against the Thunder, they’re set to face the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday, the second game of their back-to-back schedule. Given that Steph Curry had just returned to the lineup, the media is curious to know about his availability.
Curry told the reporters he wasn’t sure if he would play against the Texas team. However, he’s hopeful to be on the floor with his team.
“I’m trying to, yes,” the four-time champion said.
Green didn’t hesitate to share his opinions about the Warriors’ current situation with the media after the defeat. The four-time All-Star claims he doesn’t believe the club is dedicated to winning.
“I think everyone was committed to winning [after the Butler trade last season] and doing that any way possible. Right now, it doesn’t feel that way.”

The Warriors are looking to bounce back against the Spurs.
Steph Curry records the first flagrant foul of his career

Steph Curry never received a flagrant foul call during his 17-year career. But that changed in Tuesday’s game against the Thunder. The two-time MVP tried to contest Isaiah Joe near the end of the opening quarter. Joe got up to shoot a long-range shot, which Curry tried to prevent.
Unfortunately for the Warriors, Curry’s foot was on Joe’s landing zone. The referees had to review the footage before making an official call.
“Curry closes out from a distance with an extended leg. Joe lands on Curry’s foot, creating a potential for injury as a result of the contact,” referee John Goble said.
Since joining the NBA in 2009, Curry has avoided receiving similar calls.
