Indiana Fever star and self-proclaimed Taylor Swift superfan Caitlin Clark was among the many caught off guard by Swift’s surprise album reveal on the latest New Heights episode with Travis Kelce and his brother Jason.
Swift announced her 16th overall project — and 12th studio album — The Life of a Showgirl, set to drop October 3. It follows The Tortured Poets Department, which earned mixed reviews. On Instagram, the pop icon shared the album’s artwork and track list, revealing 16 songs, including a collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter.

“And, baby, that’s show business for you. New album The Life of a Showgirl. Out October 3 ❤️🔥,” she posted.
Clark quickly reposted it to her Stories, simply adding, “Absolutely.” Former Las Vegas Aces rookie Elizabeth Kitley also joined the fun, noting the second track’s title, “Elizabeth Taylor.” “Hey so my name is now in a Taylor song title,” she joked.

Caitlin Clark’s Swiftie credentials are well-documented. She attended the singer’s Eras Tour stop in Indianapolis and even had the chance to meet her. The two were spotted sitting together during a Chiefs-Texans game, chatting throughout.

“Honestly, I love football, and I know a lot about football,” Clark said of their conversation. “So I was, like, telling her why they threw a flag. In the best way, she doesn’t know a lot about [football] — I don’t even know everything, so I was just explaining things.”
Ahead of Swift’s New Heights appearance, Clark playfully warned that YouTube might not survive the fan traffic. “Are we sure YouTube isn’t going to crash tonight? 😅” she posted.

Even for someone who’s taken the WNBA by storm, Clark can still be starstruck when it comes to TayTay.
