The Toronto Raptors are off to an uneven start this 2025-26 season, and Immanuel Quickley’s sluggish start is a huge reason why. Through the first seven games, the 26-year-old guard is averaging 12.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, 6.3 assists, and 1.4 steals but only on 39/28/75 shooting splits.

In the Toronto Raptors’ 117-104 win over the Memphis Grizzlies yesterday, Quickley only had nine points, four rebounds, and three assists on 2-for-5 shooting from the field in 32 minutes of action. After the game, head coach Darko Rajakovic said he isn’t worried too much about Quickley’s lackluster form.
“I mean, first of all, there is no magic wand,” Rajakovic said about Quickley via Michael Grange of Sportsnet. “He’s not playing his best basketball right now. And that’s fine. That’s fine. That’s why he has his teammates to help him, and not everybody can carry it over an 82-game-long season and be perfect.”

“All he needs to do is take one day at a time, and one per cent, get better. What I can tell you is that he’s putting a lot of work in, a lot of effort in. He cares so much, and that’s why it’s frustrating for him because he’s going through this rough time, but it’s completely fine,” he added.
Toronto Raptors News: Immanuel Quickley makes vow to be better amid slow start
Immanuel Quickley doubled down on Darko Rajakovic’s comments about his slow start, and the sixth-year pro plans to be better for the Toronto Raptors in their next few games.

“The three is going to come. I’m not really worried about that,” Quickley said. “I know what I put into the work in the summer. But the mentality to stay aggressive, I think, is something I need to keep doing.”
“I’m always confident, whether the ball is going in or not. I’m going to keep shooting. The best shooters keep shooting,” he added. “But, really, it’s not just about me. It’s about staying in the moment, staying in the present, and trying to help the team win games. But yes, definitely being aggressive is the most important thing.”
