Some NBA players think they can do a podcast but many of them attract controversy for remarks people find inappropriate. Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics might be added to that list after his most recent comment about an opponent he faced in in their last game.

Brown is a streamer now, regularly hosting one his Youtube channel. There, he openly talks about his team, his personal life, and other NBA players, too. The latest one, however, did not sit well to some X users and viewers.
Celtics won against the Toronto Raptors on Sunday and Scottie Barnes made Boston’s life hard as he finished with 18 points, 11 rebounds, and 8 assists. He went toe-to-toe with Brown and the latter definitely did the work,
He complimented the 2022 Rookie of the Year for his play but he slipped something that many thought was politically incorrect.
“Scottie Barnes is strong as sh*t,” Brown said.
“That motherf*cker got that extra chromosome strength. He’s like a ninja turtle or something. My boy was strong as hell.”
NBA fans were quick to react to this comment. Others think he is going down the hill ‘infamous podcaster’ Michael Porter Jr. is going. MPJ even got told by the Brooklyn Nets for his public statements.

Jaylen Brown described Scottie Barnes’ strength in the WILDEST way possible 😳🗣️
“Scottie Barnes is strong as sh**. This MF-er got that extra chromosome strength, like, some type of ninja turtle or something.”
Thoughts? 🤔 pic.twitter.com/jJ5JTT5ZNq

Why was Jaylen Brown’s comment controversial?
A person getting tagged as someone with extra chromosome meant they have an abnormal development. They can be tagged as someone dealing with down syndrome.
Barnes has been dealing with such comments, with breaking point happening before the start of the season when a Toronto media member made a remark alluding to him suffering from autism.
Brown probably did not mean it that way but people still does not view it as correct.
For now, his fans should brace themselves for more Brown streaming content. In the same episode, he said he is not going to stop streaming as it does not even affect his basketball job.

“They think cause I’m streaming, I’m not locked in. I’m the most locked I’ve ever been in my life…I’m ready to do whatever it takes to win. I want all the smoke.”
Jaylen Brown has a message for everybody who questioned his focus when he announced he was streaming:
“They think cause I’m streaming, I’m not locked in. I’m the most locked I’ve ever been in my life…I’m ready to do whatever it takes to win. I want all the smoke.”
