Victor Wembanyama is off to a hot start for the San Antonio Spurs and was even named as the Western Conference Player of the Week after averaging 33.3 points, 13.3 rebounds, and 6 blocks in his first three games. He also gets named as the number one player in several early season MVP rankings.

These numbers are no ordinary feats as this put him in NBA history as the first ever to have 100+ points and 15+ blocks in his first three games of a season.

History for Victor Wembanyama. He had 31 points and 6 blocks in the Spurs’ win over the Nets. He now has 100 points and 18 blocks in the first three games of the season, something no other player has ever done.

It was not just a personal glory that he is listing recently. The Spurs are also getting recognition. In their fourth win of the season, which was against the Toronto Raptors, Spurs had their best start to the season (4-0) since 2017.

    Victor Wembanyama wants more history

They are going 5-0 against the Miami Heat and when Wemby learned that the franchise haven’t done it, he was surprised and now, he wants to take that record.

. @HectorLedesmaTV tells Victor Wembanyama that the Spurs have never went 5-0 in their franchise history. Wemby surprisingly says:

    “Spurs have never went 5-0?… Let’s beat that record.”@spurfectblog #PorVida pic.twitter.com/UjSfqb7BJZ

“I’m surprised. Very surprised,” he told reporters.

He is probably not alone. The Spurs from the 2000s to 2017 produced the most historic rosters in NBA history led by Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, and Tony Parker. Duncan retired with five NBA titles.

It would be another note on Wemby’s legend in case they do it although the Heat right now are on a strong run, led by Bam Adebayo and 7’3 center Kel’el Ware.
