WNBA fans called out Minnesota Lynx star Napheesa Collier for name-dropping Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark in one of her most recent interviews.
In her recent interview with Glamour Magazine, Collier talked about the current CBA negotiation between the WNBA leadership and its players, and cited Caitlin Clark as one example in her argument. Over at X, WNBA fans reacted to this move by the Lynx star.

“Why is she keeps mentioning Caitlin,” one fan said. “Oh girl, you’re a hero.”

One fan had an answer, which positioned Caitlin Clark as nothing more than a bargaining chip for other players in the league.
“Because Phee knows the players don’t have any other bargaining chips,” they responded. “Once the deal is signed, they’ll go back to treating her like shit and trying to injure her.”
In her interview, Collier sharply criticized the WNBA’s compensation model, calling it “insane” that players who create massive league value receive little of the revenue they generate. Collier specifically pointed to Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark, arguing that Clark’s arrival has produced hundreds of millions for the league while players see no revenue share from that windfall.
“The amount of money that Caitlin Clark has made the league is insane, and she’s getting 0% of it because we have no revenue share,” Collier said. “She gets less than $80,000 a year, and she’s bringing in, like, hundreds of millions of dollars. It’s insane.”
The remarks come amid tense negotiations over a new collective bargaining agreement, with the WNBPA and league working toward a deal before an October 31 deadline.
WNBA Fans Defend Napheesa Collier on Caitlin Clark Comment
Over at X, WNBA fans talked about Napheesa Collier’s comments that included a Caitlin Clark name drop. For one fan, this just goes in line with how Collier has always been a non-hater of Clark.

“The first time CC came to the WNBA, Phee was one of the people who didn’t hate her, because Phee knew CC was a money maker for them and the league,” the fan said.
For other fans, however, asking for revenue sharing in the NWBA doesn’t make sense, since there is no revenue to share in the first place.
“There’s no revenue sharing because up until the past year, there was no revenue to share,” one fan said.

While the league is in its offseason right now, WNBA fans are eager to see the outcome of the CBA negotiations, which would greatly affect how the coming seasons would play out.
