Chicago Sky star Angel Reese once again went viral for a quick-witted response she gave to one fun remark by Phoenix Mercury star Kahleah Cooper.

In a recent exchange on social media, Angel Reese playfully responded after Chicago Sky teammate-turned-friend Kahleah Cooper. Reese joked on X that Sunday reminded her she “needs a man” because trash day was the next day. In her response, Reese urged Cooper to cross back to “this side.”

“(Sunday’s) remind me that I need a man.. trash day tomorrow smh,” Cooper wrote.

“You can always come back to this side,” Reese said, with an inverted smile emoji at the end.

Cooper’s original post attracted additional attention because Reese often calls her “grandma,” and the back-and-forth taught us about the playful chemistry both players share off of the court.

All of this took place during the backdrop of Cooper’s engagement to Swedish player Binta Drammeh and the players’ contrasting recent seasons. Cooper helped the Phoenix Mercury make it to the WNBA Finals and averaged 15.6 points per game, while Reese averaged 14.7 points and 12.6 rebounds for the Sky and missed the playoffs.

The friends go back to the first Unrivaled season and became champions together as teammates on Rose BC, with Reese also winning Defensive Player of the Year that year.

Angel Reese Confirms Relationship Status in Vague Post

Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese addressed circulating rumors about her personal life with a social-media post that confirmed she has a romantic partner, offering fans a direct response amid ongoing speculation.

In a post on Instagram, Reese shared an image that talked about having money and having a “boo.”

“Ion post my boo or my money just know I got both,” the post she shared read.

She then added a caption that confirmed the status of not only her finances but also of her lovelife.

“Rebranding & yes, I got both,” Reese posted.

She did not name anyone in the post, and although fans have linked her to Orlando center Wendell Carter Jr., Reese kept the statement general while acknowledging she has a “boo.”

On the court, Reese announced that she would not be returning for the second season of Unrivaled, in light of her stated dedication to furthering her personal brand and immersing herself in off-court endeavors.

So far, Angel Reese remains with the Chicago Sky. However, the end of her sophomore season with the franchise came with a number of rumors and speculations as to the certainty of her future in Chicago, as well as a potential shift in priorities and focus moving forward.
