Boston Celtics have the most number of championships in the NBA at 18 after their 2024 win led by Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. It untie the knot they had with the Los Angeles Lakers for three years.

That Celtics duo is one of the best in the NBA for years now. They are feared when healthy and might even lead them to another title once they get the best squad again. Or not trade any of them or even think about it.

Brown recently revealed that he thought about leaving the organization that drafted him in 2016 after feeling unwanted due to the consistent trade rumors involving him. Between him and JT, most fans and critics think he’s the one who is expendable.

“There were times when things were looking rough here in Boston,” Brown said during a livestream. “I don’t know how many times they put me in trade talks. For whatever reason, it was always something.”

    He was about to quit.

“It was other players that Brad or whoever thought were a better fit for the organization, or they were paying more money, whatever. So I was like, ‘You know, I think it may be time to go.’ I thought I could go somewhere else. … I can score the ball at a very, very high level, and I wasn’t allowed to grow here.”

Jaylen Brown got sage advice from T-Mac

Everything is okay now between the team and the Brown and fans should thank NBA legend Tracy McGrady for that.

“T-Mac was like, ‘Stay, bro.’ And I was like, ‘Huh?’” Brown recalled.

“‘Nah, bro, trust me. Whatever you do, if you can stay, you’ve got the opportunity to win. Win,’” Brown said, remembering McGrady’s advice.

Jaylen Brown says he almost left Boston until T-Mac told him to stay:

“I don’t know how many times they put me in trade talks… I was like I think it may be time to go”

Brown listening to T-Mac is one of the best decision he’s made so far. They won the 2024 title when they defeated the the Dallas Mavericks and he was adjudged the Finals MVP. Celtics had a chance to win the title in the two seasons earlier but they fell to the Golden State Warriors.
