The Los Angeles Clippers reported that veteran star Bradley Beal will undergo surgery and miss the remainder of the 2025-26 NBA season. Beal’s agent, Mark Bartelstein of Priority Sports, confirmed that it was a unanimous decision to shut him down for the rest of the campaign. Before ruling him out of the season, it was reported that the three-time All-Star sustained a fractured hip.

The injury occurred on Saturday, November 8, during the Clippers’ 114 – 103 loss to the Phoenix Suns. Beal started the game and was on the floor for 19 minutes. He finished the game with 12 points and three assists on 44.4% shooting. Following the contest, he missed Monday’s 105 – 102 defeat against the Atlanta Hawks.

Before being ruled out for the rest of the season, Clippers head coach Ty Lue told the media that there was concern about Beal’s injury. On Wednesday, the team confirmed that he was ruled out via ESPN’s Shams Charania on X (formerly Twitter).

“We met with numerous doctors and specialists around the country in collaboration with the entire Clippers medical staff over the last few days, and came to the decision unanimously that the surgery will allow Brad to have a full and complete recovery,” Bartelstein said in a statement.

Bradley Beal was an offseason acquisition by the Clippers after he finalized a contract buyout with the Phoenix Suns. The former All-Star signed a two-year, $11 million contract to join LA. After two subpar seasons in Phoenix, he wanted a clean slate with a new team.

The one-time All-NBA star appeared in six games, averaging 8.2 points and 1.7 assists, the lowest averages of his career. Beal has struggled to find his shot, making only 37.5% of his shots from the field.

It was anticipated that Bradley Beal would enjoy himself more in Los Angeles than he did during his two years with the Suns. However, the season isn’t halfway, and he’s already suffered an unfortunate injury, which has sidelined him for the rest of the year.

After the news was posted online, fans revealed their thoughts on how Beal’s first year with the Clippers has been cut short.

“He has scammed 3 different franchises now 😭” a fan said.

“Brad will make a full recovery for his debut with the Guangdong Tigers in 2026,” another fan commented.

“Always thought Chandler parsons was the finesse king but Beal has taken the cake tenfold,” one fan said.

“Bradley Beal screw the Washington Wizards, the Phoenix Suns, and now the Los Angeles Clippers,” someone commented.

“Clippers went all in and still won’t have anything to show for it in the end,” a comment read.

“We should start calling Bradley Beal a scam cuz all the contracts he gets and only plays a fraction of it,” one fan commented.

Amid Beal’s news, the Clippers are 3-7 this season.
