Denver Nuggets head coach David Adelman has decided that Peyton Watson is critical to their success as seen in the minutes he is giving to the fourth year guard in the last six games.

Watson played at least 33 minutes in all of the last six games and was all over the court in those. He had his best game on November 19 against the New Orleans Pelicans when he posted 32 points and 12 rebounds. In their last one, in win against the Memphis Grizzlies, he recorded 27 points, five rebounds, and three assists.
The 23-year-old seeing more floor time than usual has a lot to do with Christian Braun and Aaron Gordon out of the line up. The former has missed the last six while the latter missed the last two after trying to return early from an injury.
Watson credits veteran teammates Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic for his recent performances.
“I got no better people to learn from than Jok and Jamal,” Watson declared of his recent breakout. “They go out there consistently, produce, and put up numbers every night — and they look at it as another day in the office.”

“It’s exciting times for me and my family because this is a new experience for us. But I’m trying to approach it the same way [Jokic and Murray] do, because at any time things could go the other way. So I’m just trying to take it with humility.”
Denver Nuggets guard is leveling things up
Watson is putting the league on notice and he is making sure that his efforts will not go to waste. He is doing this by signing up with one of the largest sports agency group in America.
The 2022 30th overall pick ha signed with the Klutch Sports saying there is a “big opportunity at hand” with the company. It was not a hard transition, too, as he has history with the agency.
“[Founder] Rich [Paul] was my agent in college,” he told reporters during Wednesday practice.

“Excel did nothing but great things for me. Super supportive. It was more so a business decision on our side. It’s something were happy with because of the support that Klutch shows. The love and attention to detail is next level.”
Klutch Sports’ most prominent clients are Los Angeles Lakers superstar Lebron James, Anthony Davis, Draymond Green, Watson’s teammate Gordon, and Fred VanVleet. The agency was able to bring huge contracts to many players in the league.
Watson is earning around $4.3 million this season and is on the last year of his four-year contract he signed as a rookie.
