Trade rumors have started to surround Anthony Davis and the Dallas Mavericks, days after Nico Harrison was relieved of his position as general manager. In order to possibly lead the team to a championship, Harrison envisioned Davis as one of his key players. This is the reason why he traded for the big man last season, shipping the beloved Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Even though the move infuriated fans, Harrison insisted on sticking to his plan of building a contender around Davis. But that future might not see the light of day, now that the former Nike executive isn’t part of the organization. Following the major decision by owner Patrick Dumont, there have been rumors that AD could potentially be traded away.
According to NBA insider Marc Stein, the Mavericks are expected to work with Davis’ camp for the next two months regarding the star forward’s future. Months after arriving in Dallas, there’s a chance that the one-time champion could be traded in the middle of the season.

Fans shared their opinions about the Mavericks possibly trading Anthony Davis after Stein’s report. Here are some of what the fans said.
“lol this is not a good look for Mavs organization, wait till they move on from Kyrie Irving…” a fan said.
“Mavs really tryna figure out if AD comes with the ‘day-to-day’ DLC or not 😭” another fan commented.
“He’s injured all the time who’s gonna wanna trade for him?” one fan said.

Other fans believe it’s an error on the Mavericks’ part.
“They didn’t even give him any chance to show what he is capable of smh,” someone commented.
“They’ve destroyed everything @mcuban built in less than 1 year,” a comment read.
NBA insider Zach Lowe says an Anthony Davis trade will set a world record

After a disastrous 3-8 start to the season, the Mavericks fired the architect who traded for Anthony Davis. The NBA star forward’s future is currently uncertain due to the numerous trade rumors that have surfaced. League insider Zach Lowe chimed in on the rumors about AD.
Given Davis’ injury history, Lowe pointed out that Dallas might not get a good haul to help them rebuild.
“The only thing that might be more startling than this, than the speed of all of this unfolding like this is the delta between what the Dallas Mavericks gave up for Anthony Davis and what they are going to get back for Anthony Davis if and when they trade him,” the ESPN insider said.
“It will set the world record for the biggest delta in trade returns for one single player in the history of professional sports.”
With Harrison out of the picture, Davis’ future in Dallas is at stake.
