Jimmy Butler has clocked out of the Miami Heat, much to the chagrin of Heat fans who warmly welcomed his arrival in 2019. Everyone and their mother is waiting for the ball to drop on where Butler will likely end up as trade rumors persist around the disgruntled forward.
While the team is open to any team willing to match any demands they would have, everyone can quietly agree that the Phoenix Suns are considered favorites to land the six-time All-Star. They recently made moves to acquire assets, an effort many believe is to complete the king’s ransom the Heat would demand out of the man who brought them to their first two post-Heatles Finals.

Players usually don’t have any real say on where they get traded. However, it seems like Jimmy’s headed to he place he wanted to be in all along. If his shoes are anything to go by, he’s counting on Phoenix to trigger a trade for him soon.
Jimmy Butler teases where he wants to go through telling shoe colorway
Butler played 27 minutes during Miami’s 107-116 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers. While his performance was woeful to Miami hoops fans, his kicks grabbed more attention than his worrisome performance for Erik Spoelstra’s lineup.
Bleacher Report posted an update on what Butler was wearing during the game, and even the most casual NBA fan know the kind of message Butler is sending with his shoe choice:

Butler’s Li Ning JB3 shoes shone with the colors of the Suns, making it obvious for everyone that he wants to join Kevin Durant and Devin Booker to make a late push for an automatic playoff spot in the West and complete an unlikely Finals run.
Will Jimmy Buckets get his wish?

Should Phoenix pull off the trade, Butler will be an incredible upgrade for their squad in the postseason.
Butler is consistent during the regular season, but everyone knows he flips a switch once he’s in playoff basketball. He averaged 27.1 points, 6.8 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 1.9 steals in the last two postseason runs he played for the Heat.
Phoenix will be pressed to provide the best trade package possible as Jimmy laid out his intentions loudly and clearly. It remains to be seen if they would have to cough up more than they’re willing to cede to Miami for an unlikely run in a cutthroat Western Conference.
