Milwaukee Bucks are undefeated in the NBA Cup group stage and they want to maintain that on Wednesday when they face the Miami Heat. Will Giannis Antetokounmpo play? The team gave fans some hope.

The Greek Freak, who hasn’t played since leaving the second quarter of loss to Cleveland Cavaliers on November 17, was initially listed as questionable. It is an upgrade from previous designation when he was outright labeled as out as he is still recovering from a groin injury which doctors said will take two weeks.
Here is the Bucks’ injury report for Wednesday in Miami:
Out:
Alex Antetokounmpo (G League – Two-Way)

Eric Nehm, quoting head coach Doc Rivers, then reported that he will not play. This will be the fourth game that he will miss, dampening his strong start to the season.

Antetokounmpo has been passionate about the NBA Cup even if the other teams are not. They are the defending champions after beating the Oklahoma City Thunder last year.
Giannis Antetokounmpo should wait
This is a decision that should sit well with fans. While many appreciate Antetokounmpo’s desire, supporters thought the Bucks should have learned the lesson after what happened to Damian Lillard last playoffs.

The Bucks are currently 8-9 although they are at the top of the NBA Cup’s East Group C with a 2-0 record. Antetokounmpo might return to the team on Friday against the New York Knicks.
