The Minnesota Timberwolves secured a 125-116 road win on Thursday night to complete their sweep of their mini-series against the New Orleans Pelicans, but Naz Reid was among those who were not satisfied with the result.

Last night marked the Minnesota Timberwolves’ fourth consecutive win, improving their record to 14-8 this season. But Reid, who had 19 points, seven rebounds, six assists, two blocks, and four three-pointers on 6-for-13 shooting, believes that the team can be better.
“I’ll take the win. In my personal opinion, we’re not the best version of ourselves right now. And that’s OK,” Reid told Dane Moore on X (formerly known as Twitter). “I think sometimes, no disrespect to the Pelicans, we can’t play down to our competition. That’s what kinda hurts us sometimes.”

“It’s the full 48 on the offensive side and defensive side. Obviously, we’re not gonna be perfect, but (it’s about) being on top of our business and handling it,” he added.
Minnesota Timberwolves News: Rudy Gobert-less lineup seals the deal vs. New Orleans Pelicans
After a close first three quarters, the Minnesota Timberwolves broke the game wide open with a 15-0 run to open the fourth period after trailing 91-88. During their hot stretch, the team rolled with the lineup of Julius Randle, Anthony Edwards, Naz Reid, Jaden McDaniels, and Donte DiVincenzo.

“The group without Rudy, obviously, it’s no secret, we’re trying to figure out defensively what works. We’ve had a lot of success with that zone the past couple of games, with Jaden being in the middle and being able to switch everything and cover so much ground. It’s kind of similar to Rudy in a way because he’s a great rim protector,” Randle explained.
Randle finished as the team’s top scorer with 28 points, nine rebounds, and three assists on 9-for-18 shooting from the field. Meanwhile, Anthony Edwards was anonymous, scoring only 11 points while turning the ball over eight times.
