NBA fans are reacting to Isaiah Thomas stating that he would like to play one more season with the league, that is if any team wishes to have him on their roster. Thomas spoke to TMZ recently, where he was asked about his interests in terms for the future.

Apparently, Thomas was last active with the Charlotte Hornets back in 2022 and then moved to minor league basketball. Despite being off the court for such a long time, Thomas seems to be ready to be active for at least one more season before focusing on his family. However, fans are not having any of this and have been cracking jokes about Thomas ever since he made the remarks.

“I’m staying ready. Staying in contact with a few teams, but just playing it by ear, making sure I stay ready.” Isaiah Thomas said to TMZ.

“He been begging for a roster spot for the last 7 years. Just focus on your family bro no NBA teams want u (crying emoji x3, peace sign emoji x3)” one fan said.

“I love Isaiah Thomas. I hope he gets his final year but in all seriousness..it’s been over for a while. Feels like he keeps getting brought up for clicks anymore.” Another fan said.

“He was filmed in a locker room in tears saying the NBA ‘gave up on him.’ I doubt they’ve changed their minds.” One more fan echoed.

Isaiah Thomas says he’s been in contact with a few NBA teams and is aiming to play one more year 👀

He also said he could play a few more years, but believes it’s best to play just one more so he can focus on his family.

NBA Fans Also Call Isaiah Thomas A Great Legend In The League

On the other side, NBA fans are still recalling Isaiah Thomas’ great moments in the league and hoping that some team picks him up. Some even went back to Thomas’ days with the Celtics where he managed to create a legacy of his own.

“There’s gonna be a lot of jokes, but IT4 is a legend that will never be forgotten by Celtics fans. He deserves a shot he’s still better than a lot of guys in the league currently” one fan pointed out.

“Thomas’s ‘one more’ vow is the beautiful tragedy of a baller who loved the game harder than it loved him back, 53 pt ECF on his sister’s birthday? Immortal grit, but his fate flipped All NBA to G League ghosts…” another fan said.

“GET THIS MAN AN NBA CONTRACT” one more fan shouted.

Isaiah Thomas himself has often expressed how he felt betrayed by Boston when they decided to ship him off. While the league may have done very less for him, it is clear that Thomas has plenty to give for basketball.
