NBA fans reacted to the news of the Dallas Mavericks not selling out a home game for the first time in 24 years, which fans mostly blamed general manager Nico Harrison for.
Over at social media platform X, NBA fans poked fun at Mavericks GM Nico Harrison for the news of the franchise ending its home game sellout streak for the first time in 24 years. For some fnas, there is no other person to blame than Harrison himself.

“Nico Harisson is probably a paid agent to destroy the Mavs, can’t think of any other stuff,” one fan said.

Other fans echoed the sentiment, but had a different angle. Others think that this news of a decline is only a move to force the franchise to be moved to a different city, a conspiracy that has been floating around sice the Luka Doncic trade.
“Why do I have a feeling this is the beginning of a decline, eventually to move to a new city?” one fan said.
An NBA insider told listeners that Dallas Mavericks general manager Nico Harrison’s position is increasingly precarious, arguing it’s now a question of when, and not if, the team will move to fire him amid fallout from the Luka Dončić trade and the club’s post-trade slide.
In an episode of “The Hoop Collective” podcast, ESPN’s Tim MacMahon revealed that inner talks within the Mavericks’ leadership all point to Harrison being fired sooner rather than later.
“At this point, I believe it is a matter of when, not if, Nico Harrison will be fired,” MacMahon Said. “There is a very, very strong likelihood that it will be midseason.”
MacMahon also described a breakdown of trust between Harrison and team governor Patrick Dumont, suggesting Dumont has even begun weighing in on medical and roster-return timelines, a sign of eroded confidence in Harrison’s decision-making.
NBA Fans Go back to “Fire Nico” Sentiment
Over at X, NBA fans once again went back to the call of firing Mavs GM Nico Harrison. One fan even pointed out how bad business decisions could get any executive fired from Fortune 500 companies.

“Fire that clown,” they said. “The Mavs brand is ruined. They’re a laughingstock. Nico’s name is chanted in celebration in Lakers arena. Any Fortune 500 company the stockholders would’ve voted him out weeks ago. This is a business; that’s what Kidd said when Luka got traded, right?”

Right now, the Dallas Mavericks stand at 3-8 and is sitting seven games behind the conference leader. NBA fans, in turn, are looking for any comeback from the franchise.
