The New Orleans Pelicans made the bold move of trading for Jordan Poole this summer. After languishing with the lowly Washington Wizards in the past few seasons, the 26-year-old is expected to take the next step with his new team.

Kendrick Perkins spoke about Poole during a recent episode of the Road Trippin’ podcast, and the former New Orleans Pelicans center wishes nothing but the best for the former 28th overall pick.
“Personally, I think he’s going to do well with the Pelicans this year. I really do. A new scenery, new guys in the front office with Joe Dumars and Troy Weaver — it could work,” Perkins said about Poole.

“But as of now, he’s always going to be remembered for that (Draymond Green) incident. I just wish he’d get his stuff together, take basketball more seriously, more consistently, and really show us what he can do. That’s why I think New Orleans will be great for him,” he added.
New Orleans Pelicans head coach speaks out on the Trey Murphy III trade rumors
Willie Green has heard about the reported interest of Trey Murphy III by the Golden State Warriors and the San Antonio Spurs. If the New Orleans Pelicans head coach has it his way, he hopes to keep Murphy in the long run alongside Herb Jones.

“They mean a ton to your point. You know, they started their careers here. We watched them grow,” Green said on WDSU News. “They’re both two dynamic big wings, and that’s what the NBA is about, guys that can step on the floor, that can guard multiple positions, that can rebound, that can make winning plays, and to add to that, and this is really what you start with.”
“They’re high-character pillars of our organization, and so we love Herb and Trey. We’re grateful to get them back and get them healthy,” he emphasized.
