The New York Knicks dropped to a 2-2 record following their 121-111 defeat against the Milwaukee Bucks last night, as Karl-Anthony Towns had one of his worst outings in a blue and orange uniform.

Towns only had eight points and 12 rebounds on 2-for-12 shooting from the field in 35 minutes of action, and the New York Knicks center apologized to the team and the fans for his subpar performance.
“I gotta do whatever is needed to win and first half, I played what we needed, how we needed me to play,” Towns said via SNY’s Ian Begley. “The game I felt switched up and I tried to get going just in case we needed me and I just didn’t make a shot, so I pressed a little bit too much today. I didn’t do what we needed to do to win tonight and that’s on me and I take full responsibility on that. Accountability is something big in this locker room and I always will do that.”

“I got a new role. I just gotta embrace it,” he continued. “I didn’t do that for 48 minutes tonight. It’s Game 4, we just gotta learn… So we’re all finding our spots, and find where we could be the most effective in the system.”
New York Knicks News: Mike Brown reflects on the team’s growing pains after losing to the Milwaukee Bucks
New York Knicks head coach Mike Brown acknowledged that his team is still going through an adjustment period. He also said that he is demanding more from Karl-Anthony Towns, as he believes that the 29-year-old can thrive in his high-octane system.

“We want the ball to move. We want the floor space the right way, and I promise you, if we do the things that we’re talking about offensively in terms of our staples, KAT’s gonna be more than fine,” Brown explained.
“Whatever comes his way that night, whatever comes Jalen (Brunson’s) way that night, whatever comes OG (Anunoby’s) way that night, you just gotta embrace it. But, like I said, we gotta play with a little bit of pace, all of us individually. And I’ve talked to KAT about it,” he added.
