There have been rumblings about Sacramento Kings point guard Russell Westbrook being wronged by the Denver Nuggets organization. He was playing well for the Nuggets.

Russell Westbrook says the Nuggets told him not to pick up his player option: “The truth is that they didn’t want me back… They don’t want me. That’s OK. Somebody else do… They told me not to [pick it up]… I don’t go anywhere I’m not wanted.”

Westbrook always brought it every night.  It wasn’t always pretty, but he was great when Jamal Murray was hurt, and they would not have gone anywhere in the playoffs without him.

He is one of the greatest point guards of all time. He is a good player who did not deserve this treatment.

Westbrook is one of the most mentally tough players that the NBA has ever seen. With all the noise and banter over the past year he still goes out and plays at a high level every night.

The Denver Nuggets did him a favor.  He now has minutes and touches with the Sacramento Kings.
