WNBA fans are trolling Sophie Cunningham after she put out an uneducated tweet concerning Terry Rozier. Rozier and many other NBA players, including coach Chauncey Billups, recently made headlines after they were arrested for illegal gambling. The investigation was conducted by the FBI over several years and also named a number of mafia family members.
However, it was recently reported that Terry Rozier is not guilty of these charges and will be away from the court for a brief period. Rozier will, however, be paid his full salary for the time he is away on leave. It seems like Sophie Cunningham didn’t read the newspapers and confirm what she was typing before she put out a tweet expressing her anger at the player getting paid his salary. WNBA fans have since then trolled Cunningham for her tweet.

“no way. please tell me this is fake…” Sophie Cunningham tweeted against Terry Rozier.

“He’s not found guilty. Are you on drugs?” one fan commented on Cunningham’s tweet.
“No please tell this tweet fake. Another ball hating worried about another ball pockets to feed his family? You supposed to be on his side right or wrong. Or keep shit like this to yourself.” another fan tweeted.
“It’s called a players union. If your league wasn’t 100% subsidized by the NBA, and if WNBA was actually entertaining to watch, then you would enjoy the same benefits. Lower the rims? Nah, learn a trade lmao” one more fan called out.
WNBA Fans Massively Troll Sophie Cunningham For Unnecessary Tweet
WNBA fans were definitely not happy with Sophie Cunningham’s tweet about Terry Rozier. Many fans blamed Cunningham for not reading the room and not knowing enough before she put out such a tweet, while others felt that her own league was not doing enough to pay their players.

“Punishments come AFTER convictions. That’s how that works, sweetie. Duke Lacross ring a bell?” one fan reminded Sophie Cunningham.

“He is innocent until proven guilty – this is America. And even if gets convicted and sentenced, then nothing is final until after his appeal is ruled on. So yes, he gets to keep his salary.” Another fan said.
“Innocent until proven guilty (rolling on the floor laughing emoji)” one more fan added.
While most responses to Sophie Cunningham’s tweet were pure mockery of her unawareness, some others also pointed out the disparity between NBA and WNBA salaries. Cunningham has yet to respond to the backlash surrounding her tweet.
