Karl-Anthony Towns is finding his groove under Mike Brown’s system, which culminated in the New York Knicks’ 113-100 win against the Brooklyn Nets yesterday.

The five-time NBA All-Star had 37 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, and two blocks on 14-for-20 shooting from the field in 33 minutes of action. The Brooklyn Nets didn’t have answers for the New York Knicks‘ big man.
“I’ve had slumps before, experience teaches me a lot. Keep shooting, keep trusting the work,” Towns told reporters via Tom Hanslin of SNY. “I know it’s disappointing, especially for me, who puts so much time in the gym and you’re not seeing the results every day you’d like at the standard you anticipate. But never change the grind.”

“He was really good. Again, trying to move him around quite a bit,” Brown said of Towns. “Tried to have him at the elbow, in the post, in the pick-and-roll game. You can see his comfort level is starting to get there… Great game by KAT, picking his spots to drive it, shoot it, spray it.”
New York Knicks News: Karl-Anthony Towns’ breakout performance draws honest admission from Brooklyn Nets coach
The New York Knicks beat the Brooklyn Nets on the road, as Karl-Anthony Towns bullied them, and Jalen Brunson, Mikal Bridges, and Jordan Clarkson added 27, 16, and 12 points.

“Yeah (Towns) is a very good player, and we have to find ways to fight him better. We tried, it just didn’t work out very well for us. He scored 37 points and 12; just not good enough,” Fernández said via the New York Post. “Credit to him. We definitely should have been better.”
After last night’s performance, Towns is now averaging 22.6 points, 12.4 rebounds, and 3.4 assists on 45.0 percent shooting from the field.
