Mark Williams put up his best performance of the season when he had 22 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals on 7-for-9 shooting from the field to help the Phoenix Suns win 108-105 against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday evening.

Besides his efficient outing, Williams also got Rudy Gobert ejected in the third quarter, as the Phoenix Suns center drew a Flagrant 2 on the former Defensive Player of the Year when he went up for a dunk.
“I’m not really thinking he’s doing that,” Williams said via AZ Central’s Duane Rankin. “I’m he’s just going to contest the shot. That’s for the people to decide, but I’m good. He chose to do that. Glad I was able to finish the game out.”

Williams lay on the floor for a while after Gobert’s foul, drawing concern from Phoenix Suns fans, considering his injury history. However, the 23-year-old center stated that he just had the wind knocked out of him.
Phoenix Suns News: Collin Gillespie shines down the stretch against the Minnesota Timberwolves
Collin Gillespie showed his clutch gene in last night’s win, hitting the crucial free throws to extend the Phoenix Suns’ lead in the final 8.9 seconds before their final stop against Jaden McDaniels. The 26-year-old guard finished the game with 19 points, six rebounds, and four assists on 6-for-15 shooting from the field in 33 minutes.

“I was confident he was going to knock them down. Tough, hard-nosed guy,” Mark Williams said of Gillespie’s late free throws.
“Stuff I work on every day. I go up there with no fear,” Gillespie added.
